Cabo Blanco bay is very famous for its enormous waves, which make the surf lovers happy for a long time. They can reach 3 m high! The other reason of its fame is fishery; the confluence of several water currents (hot and cold) makes favorable the proliferation of numerous fish species, which just have to migrate at a few kilometers in order to respond to their annual migratory necessities. There, the author Ernest Hemingway came to film part of “the Old Man and the Sea” (see the article about Peru’s particularities).
